Beautiful hotel located a minute away from the temple grounds. Has a relaxing ryokan feel in the middle of busy Tokyo. Room was small by North American standards, but clean and well maintained. Bed and pillow are firm, but I personally prefer it that way, so I was even more comfortable than at my own home. Toiletries such as toothpaste, razor and toothbrush were included. Pyjamas were also available. There was free delicious soba noodles every night, along with tea, coffee, and ice cream. Yakult was free in the morning. The mineral bath was nice and hot, and made your skin super soft. It was open long hours, from 5 am to 1 am. Washers are free to use, and dryers cost 100 yen for 20 minutes. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and well worth the money. It's too bad I had to move to the next hotel.

Location: close to some great local eateries and restaurants. Uniqlo and Don Quijote within 5-10 mins walk. Room: clean and comfortable, won’t be large for most western travellers, but not small for Tokyo. Breakfast: love the ikura, sashimi, rice and miso soup. Bread was great too (you toast these yourself in the mini oven). It is slightly pricey though - 2,300 yen. There is however a 350 yen ramen place in the arcade right opposite and February Kitchen (5 mins walk) has great Western breakfast and great coffee. Free ramen (9.30 pm - 11 pm). Onsen in the hotel and there is Yakult in the morning and ice lollies on the floor with the onsen.

The location was perfect: near to subway lines that offered direct service to many places I wanted to go and there is a warren alleys and arcades where you can eat out and go shopping for souvenirs surrounding the hotel. I loved the traditional spa “pajamas” and Japanese-style socks they provided and the hot mineral spa was awesome (especially after a long day of sight seeing). It was fun seeing everyone walking around the hotel barefoot or in socks. I treated myself to their Japanese breakfast on the last day and would definitely recommend it. It is something special!

Located near the temple and the surrounding bustling tourist area, it's fun and energetic. The floors are all tatami mats which is a neat feature. The hotel offers a public bath, complimentary soba in the evening, and complimentary washer with pay for usage dryers. Complimentary amenities are provided in the room and in the drawers. The front lobby offers a luggage disposal service should you buy a new luggage and wish to throw away your old one. If you've stayed at a dormy inn, this is the slightly higher class version.

Comfy room, excellent use of space- if anything larger than average for Tokyo. Loved the shower pressure, beds were quite comfortable. I like the Tatami mats throughout the floors and rooms. Check in and check out were very easy. Particularly loved some of the "bonuses"- free noodles during late night, ice cream and Yakult during the day outside the Onsen. Breakfast was traditional Japanese. Price is very reasonable for Tokyo.
